AFOSE WORKS PLC links Addax Base to Juliet Platform offshore Cameroon via mount Cameroon repeater Station.
Africa offshore Services and Engineering works, has successfully restor the MW line that links the addax Base in Douala to the Juliet Platform offshore Cameroon via mount Cameroon. The link was restored early July 2021 following the completion of a telecom tower erected by AFOSE WORKS PLC.
The job included installation and commissioning of two MW dishes for outdoor transmission, installation and commissioning of two indoor units, running of RF cables, a point to point RF transmission using a 3 meters’ diameter MW dish to link Juliet platform to the Mt Cameroon repeater station with an acceptable reception level of -56db, a point to point RF transmission using a 1.8 meters’ diameter MW dish to link mount Cameroon to the addax base in Douala with an acceptable reception level of - 56db, link testing and commissioning of the entire RF signals. The job was completed within two working days.
It should be recalled that a team, sent by Vodacom had worked for several days on the project without recording any success, reason for which Addax Petroleum contracted AFOSE WORKS PLC for the rapid intervention and the job was realised within a very short time.
